Join the Investor Advocacy Clinic in celebrating the 17th annual National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) next week! NCPW is a coordinated campaign that encourages consumers to take advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed decisions. Participants include the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Bureau of Investigation, FINRA Investor Education Foundation, Georgia Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Office of Investor Education and Advocacy, and many more. However, we all can participate by becoming informed consumers and helping others to avoid scams.
You may be wondering where to start. First, follow the Investor Advocacy Clinic’s blog next week for posts tailored to consumer protection. Second, visit the NCPW website for free educational resources and to read blog posts from national consumer protection experts. Finally, help spread the word in any way you can.
